Math Xplorations
The lessons on this page are crafted to extend classroom learning, enrichment programs, and at-home exploration. They integrate design thinking and play, encouraging children to make sense of math in real-world contexts. The ultimate goal: to nurture confident problem-solvers who can think and act mathematically in any setting.
Research-Based Strategies
In one of the lowest-performing schools in San Jose, we introduced MathXplorers stories to first graders. The impact was immediate and measurable. In one story, children mastered math concepts they had struggled with for an entire semester. Test results confirmed significant gains in understanding, showing how story-driven learning can close gaps quickly and effectively. The data is clear: math stories work.
